فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
Then Thamood was wiped out by a violent blast.
Thamood was the people to whom Prophet Swalih was deputed. They were destroyed by an earthquake. See explanation 7: 73-78; and 54: 25.
